Pre-season friendlies update

Presteigne St Andrews FC
The Reserves have two home games coming up in four days

Thanks to Tom Edwards for flagging up the odd change to the pre-season friendly programme – here is the list of the action over the coming few days.

Saturday, 4 August will see the first team heading to Penrhyncoch for what is bound to be another stiff examination of the new-look squad.

Penrhyncoch are members of the Cymru Alliance – a couple of levels above Presteigne St Andrews – and so this could well prove to be the toughest of the pre-season games to date.

One of the main bonuses of their fifth-place finish in the Alliance last season was that Penrhycoch have been invited to take part in the new look Welsh Premier League Cup – one of eight feeder league clubs invited to do so.

Saturday’s match at Penrhycoch is due to kick off at 2.30pm, but just a reminder that the scheduled game at Borth United on Sunday has been called off due to flood damage at Borth’s ground.

If you would like to take a look at Penrhycoch’s website, then you can do so by clicking here.

The Reserves will then be in action on Sunday afternoon (5, August) when they will take on Leintwardine in a warm up match at Llanandras Park (kick off 3.00pm).

Bobby Morgan and Mark Weiland’s side will next be in action on Tuesday, 7 August when they will take on Clee Hill at Llanandras Park in a 7.30pm kick off.
