Radnorshire Cup tie is ON this evening

Presteigne St Andrews FC
Barring a further monsoon, tonight’s game is definitely ON

Presteigne St Andrews FC’s chairman Alan Randell has confirmed tonight’s game will go ahead as scheduled, when the kick off at Llanandras Park will be at 7.30pm.

Presteigne will host Penybont in the Radnorshire Cup and manager Adriano Girolami was keen to get the game on if at all possible as he is hoping to field a very competitive side.

There was considerable doubt as to the whether the game would go ahead due to the biblical amounts of rain that have hit the area in the last couple of days.

An early inspection this morning proved inconclusive, but a second inspection this afternoon showed an improvement in conditions and so the game will go ahead.

Penybont should provide a stiff test for Presteigne as they fared well last season when, as well as showing up well in the Mid Wales League (South), they also won the J Emrys Morgan Cup.

Kick off, then, will be at 7.30pm and spectators are reminded the Radnorshire Cup is classed as a first-team competition and so the admission prices will be: £2.50 for adults, £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
