Reserves will be at Brecon this Saturday

A second trip to Brecon in around six weeks for the Reserves

Presteigne Reserves will head to Brecon Town this coming Saturday [1 December] for a Mid Wales League (South) game.

It was pointed out to me on the street in Presteigne a few days ago that the ‘Reserves fixtures have not been updated on the website’, to which the answer was there was a very good reason for that – we hadn’t received them!

But League Secretary Paul Worts has confirmed Bobby Morgan and Mark Weiland’s side will head to Brecon Town this Saturday, with the promise the rest of December’s fixtures will follow shortly.

Bobby and Mark will be looking for better from their side than they showed on the last occasion they took on Brecon on their own patch – the Reserves bowed out of the League Cup at the first time of asking when they were beaten 3-1.

But they didn’t have to wait long to exact a little retribution as a week later Brecon arrived at Llanandras Park for a league game in which the Reserves ran out 3-0 winners.

Saturday’s match will kick off at 2.15pm. Incidentally, apologies to Ioan Hughes who scored the goal at Machynlleth Reserves in the Emrys  Morgan Cup match last Saturday – I was informed it was Alan Stocker, but to be fair to the informant, he was probably getting the information about third hand and well after beer o’clock….
