Presteigne St Andrews FC’s Spar Mid Wales League, second division game against Aberdyfi will go ahead as scheduled on Saturday, 2 February.
There were serious concerns about the state of the Llanandras Park playing surface on Friday afternoon after heavy rain fell in the area.
But an early-morning inspection of the pitch revealed it was looking far better than anticipated and so the match will go ahead as planned.
It’s anticipated that – in racing speak – the going could be ‘good-to-soft, soft in places’ but at least we do have a game to look forward to.
The kick off at Llanandras Park will be at 2.30pm and admission prices will be £2.50 for adults, £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
It has been a while, so here’s hoping we get a good turn out of supporters for this, the first game at Llanandras Park since the first team played Llanidloes Town on Wednesday, 9 January.
