The Reserves will start April with a home derby game

The Reserve-team fixtures for April have been released by the Mid Wales League (South) secretary Paul Worts, although he does say these could be subject to change if more matches are postponed.

But, as things stand, Mark Weiland and Barry Williams’ side will start next month with a home derby game against Radnor Valley, before then heading to Bronllys a week later.

They have dropped lucky later in the month in the sense that they don’t have a game scheduled for Saturday, 20 April, but they will have a Builth Spa Cup semi-final on Sunday, 21 April in which they will take on Llandrindod Wells at Lant Field.

They will round off April with another home match when Rhayader Town Reserves will be the visitors to Llanandras Park.

There will be other cup games to fit in – should the Sparey Cup semi-final against Brecon Town on Sunday, 24 March fall victim to the weather, then that would have to be rescheduled, while ‘Weedo’s’ side is also due to head to Church Stretton Galaxy in the Bishops Castle Cup at some stage.

We don’t know a date for that tie yet – the issue was discussed at the committee meeting earlier in the week but it was pointed out the onus is on Church Stretton – as the home side – to get in touch with us to arrange a mutually convenient date.

As soon as we know about this game and any other cup matches that might be added into the mix, then these will be added into the fixture grid which can be found by hovering your cursor over the ‘Reserves’ tab and then clicking on this season’s fixture file.
