Presteigne Reserves’ scheduled home match against Bucknell that was due to be played this evening – Wednesday, 27 March – has been postponed.
Again, given the freezing temperatures, this won’t come as a great surprise to anyone, even if the chairman’s text to all committee members suggested the reason was because of the extreme heat and the fact herds of wildebeest were swarming across the goalmouth at the sewage works end en route to their watering hole at the Lugg…
Alan has also given us a heads up that the fixtures for Saturday and Monday are already in doubt although we will update this situation as the weekend unfolds.
A reminder the quiz is due to take place at the clubhouse on Thursday, 28 March so we will hopefully be in a clearer position to update people then as to the chances of the weekend matches taking place.
The quiz is due to get underway at 7.30pm and it is hoped that as many players and supporters of the club will come down to support the event – although if you are planning on entering a team you need to let Dot Griffiths know in advance.
