Fixture change for the Reserves

When he released the fixtures for April, the Mid Wales League (South) secretary Paul Worts warned that he might have to revisit these in order to ensure the season would finish on time.

There have been changes made to the first two Saturdays of next month, one of which will affect the Reserves.

Mark Weiland and Barry Williams’ side were due to go to Bronllys on Saturday, 13 April but, instead they will now be heading to a different corner of Breconshire.

The Reserves will instead head to Talgarth Town Reserves on that date with the Bronllys fixture now presumably scheduled for early May.

But it could yet be played in April as Paul Worts has warned there could be other changes for later next month as he battles with the unenviable task of trying to get the season finished on schedule.

In addition to the league matches, there are various local cup fixtures that have to be fitted in, including the Alfred Sparey Cup semi-final tie against Brecon Town.

More details on these games as and when we get them but, assuming all the cup competitions do continue as planned, the one thing is for certain – it is promising to be a very busy end to the season.
