Presteigne St Andrews FC will welcome Abermule to Llanandras Park on Saturday, 4 May when the sides will meet in a Spar Mid Wales League, second division game.

Danny Williams’ side will be in confident mood going into this one as they are unbeaten in seven games and Abermule are third-bottom of the table.

The Montgomeryshire club has won only once away from home this season and Presteigne won the away game 6-1 early in March.

Presteigne will be looking to make home advantage count as a win for them over Abermule and defeat for Knighton Town in their game at Rhosgoch Rangers would see Danny’s side climb above the Robins in the table.

As for the Reserves, they will be off to Breconshire for a double-header against Bronllys – a game that will see them play both a league match and a Newbridge Cup tie.

The league fixture, of course, has been scheduled for some time, but the Newbridge Cup was a ale fixture and was originally due to be played at Llanandras Park.

Common sense dictated we should double up on the cup tie, even though this meant we would concede home advantage for the cup tie.

The first-team game is due to kick off at 2.30pm and admission prices will be £2.50 for adults, £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
