Presteigne St Andrews FC will return to action on Friday, 2 August when they will host Leominster Town in a pre-season friendly at Llanandras Park.
This will be a quick turn around for Danny Williams’ side as they played only on Wednesday evening when they had a tough game at Bartestree.
This weekend was originally due to feature a home match against Montgomery Town until it emerged that a number of the Presteigne squad were unable to play on Saturday afternoon.
The plan was to switch the Monty game to the Friday evening but, understandably perhaps, Montgomery felt they would be unable to bring down a squad on a Friday evening at fairly short notice.
So, it is a case of many thanks to Leominster Town for agreeing to step in at short notice and this should be another attractive game.
The kick off in this one will be at 7.30pm and everyone is welcome to head down to Llanandras Park, take in the football and then perhaps enjoy a drink in the bar afterwards – a good way to start the weekend!
