No home games in September for the Reserves

The Mid Wales League (South) fixtures for September have been announced and Mark Weiland’s side will be racking up the miles over the next month.

They will face four successive away matches during the month, starting off on Saturday, 7 September when they will head to Talgarth Town Reserves.

This will be followed up with a trip to Penybont a week later and then another away day to Llanidloes Town Reserves on Saturday, 21 September.

Both of these games are likely to test Mark Weiland’s side as the ‘bont were right in the title race for much of last season and won the Emrys Morgan Cup the season before that, while any trip to Llanidloes Town’s second string can also prove a difficult day out.

The month will be rounded off by a derby game at Radnor Valley on Saturday, 28 September.

There is one additional game for the First Team in September – they will host Llanidloes Town in the Radnorshire Cup, first round on Tuesday, 24 September.

Before anyone rants on about: ‘Blimey, four away games on the spin – you would have thought they could have sorted that out a bit better..’, this is largely due to the first team’s commitments in the coming month.

Danny Williams’ side will be at home on all four Saturdays in September, with two league games and then Welsh Cup and FAW Trophy commitments.

‘Weedo’s’ boys are going to have a run of home games at some stage this season – probably when the heavens open and the pitch is like a lake….
