Presteigne St Andrews FC’s Central Wales Cup, third-round tie against Llandrindod Wells will be a Friday-night fixture early in February.
The game was originally postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and was originally rescheduled for the fourth-round conference date of Saturday, 8 February.
But the clubs agreed a Friday-night game would better suit them both and so this tie will now be played on Friday, 7 February when the kick off will be at 7.30pm.
One of the reasons for opting for the Friday night game was that the following day – Saturday, 8 February – is promising to be a big game for the Reserves.
They will head to Llanfechain for their J Emrys Morgan Cup, quarter-final tie and it is hoped that by playing the first-team game on the Friday evening, more Presteigne supporters might be happy to travel to support Mark Weiland’s side the following day.
A bus has been arranged for the Emrys Morgan Cup trip so, if you fancy a day out with the Reserves, then please contact the chairman, Alan Randell, as soon as possible.
