Presteigne St Andrews FC’s cup secretary Tom Ammonds has confirmed the Otway Cup semi-final tie scheduled for Wednesday, 22 January has been postponed.
This is due to – not wart hogs on the pitch, as I was originally told – but the fact that parts of Llanandras Park are waterlogged.
Hay St Marys had been due to take on Kington Town in the tie which will be now rescheduled for a mutually convenient date.
Apologies for any inconvenience this might cause to any spectators who were thinking of heading down to the ground this evening for the game but, given the amount of rain we have recently, the decision won’t come as a major surprise to the vast majority.
