Two games, and two defeats

Presteigne St Andrews FC
Not a great day for our two teams
Presteigne St Andrews FC
Disappointment for both sides this weekend

Any hopes Presteigne St Andrews FC had of a run in the FAW Trophy this season came to nothing as the club was well beaten 6-1 at Bow Street in their second-round tie on Saturday, 20 September.

According to Presteigne’s Tom Ammonds – as the score might suggest – Bow Street were good value for their victory and we could have no real complaints.

Jack Brazier scored his first goal for Presteigne since joining the club from Shobdon.

Meanwhile, the Reserves are still seeking their first point of the season after they were beaten 3-1 in their match at Knighton Town Reserves.

Kieran Lusher was the Presteigne goalscorer, but it’s clear the Reserves need a lift and it’s to be hoped they can pick up a result soon.

Onwards to next weekend for both sides – although the first team will face a game between now and then when they will head to Llanidloes Town for their Radnorshire Cup first-round tie on Tuesday, 23 September.

The kick off for that game at The Daffs will be at 7.30pm.
