Manager ‘Weedo’ is looking for a win – an ugly win would do

My thanks to first-team manager Mark Weiland for supplying me with the team news ahead of their Spar Mid Wales League, second division trip to Bettws on Saturday, 5 December.

“Once again, we are going to have to make changes to the squad for this one,” says Mark.

“Simon Hamer will miss the game due to work commitments, while the suspensions will also bite this weekend.

“After their red cards at Builth, Tom Ammonds has been banned for one game, while Kai Dayas will start a three-match suspension.

“Justin Davies and Bobby Bird will return to the squad and also coming in will be new signing Jamie Blythe who has joined us from Knighton.

“Well, he will figure on Saturday as long as his transfer goes through in time.

“As yet, we have no confirmed date for a return for either Spencer Napolitano or Josh Griffiths, although both will more than likely be in the new year.

“I might ask John Hartson if he fancies a game for us on Saturday!

“It’s a big game as, like us, Bettws have recently changed their manager and they have also been out of form.

“I think once we get back to winning ways the confidence will grow – I don’t mind if we win ugly as long as we win, as the three points would be massive.”
