Monday afternoon action at Radnor Valley

After what seems a lengthy break from competitive football, the first team will return to Spar Mid Wales League action on Monday, 28 December.

Mark Weiland’s squad will make the short trip to Radnor Valley for what is likely to be another decent test.

Radnor have adapted well to life at this level after promotion from the Mid Wales League (South) and currently sit in sixth place in the table.

They have won five and lost three of their home matches so far this season but haven’t played a league game in December as the cups have been taking priority.

Radnor are into the semi-finals of the ER Jenkins Cup – the second division’s League Cup – after a 4-3 home win over Churchstoke.

They also put down a marker in the League Cup in which they knocked out first division Bow Street with a 3-2 home victory.

This afternoon’s game is due to kick off at 2.00pm and it’s hoped there will be a good travelling support.

There is now only one other game due to be played today in which Bettws will host Churchstoke – the scheduled Newbridge-Builth Wells game has been postponed.
