Hay St Mary’s FC have had quite a weekend as they picked up three trophies in as many days.
After their Radnorshire Cup success over Rhayader Town on Friday, 27 May, they then backed this up with victories in both the Presteigne Otway Cup and Alfred Sparey Cup finals on Sunday, 29 May.
In the first final of the day, Hay Reserves beat Newcastle in the Sparey Cup final.
The Hay first team then made it ‘double bubble’ for the day as they saw off the challenge of Kington Town in the final of the Otway Cup.
More details on the finals will be forthcoming as and when the details get to me but, in the meantime, many congratulations to Hay St Mary’s on ‘doing the double’.
At least it should make it easy to track down the trophies when they need to be returned next season..!
