It’s and end-of-February day out at Borth

The fixtures for February in both the Spar Mid Wales League and Mid Wales League (South) have been released and are now up online.

Assuming the weather doesn’t intervene between now and then, the first team will reach St David’s Day with only two league fixtures remaining.

There is no game for Tom Ammonds’ side this weekend, but they will host Abermule on Saturday, 28 January in what will be the fourth game in a run of six successive home league matches.

In what will be a ‘stop-start’ phase of the season, the first team will then be without a game on Saturday, 4 February, before returning to action with a home match against the leaders Kerry on 11 February.

Dyffryn Banw will be the visitors to Llanandras Park a week later on 18 February before Presteigne will round off the month with a trip to the seaside on 25 February and a tough-looking game at Borth United.

As for the Reserves, they will head to Llandrindod Reserves on Friday night (20 January) before making a similar, albeit bit shorter trip on Saturday, 28 January when they head to Penybont Reserves.

It will be Wednesday-night football at Llanandras Park on both 1 and 8 January when first Builth Wells Reserves and then Hay St Mary’s Reserves will provide the opposition in 7.30pm kick offs.

There will then be a trip to Newcastle, a blank Saturday and finally a home derby game against Knighton Town Reserves over the remainder of the month.

The respective teams’ fixtures have been added into the drop-down menus at the top of the page – hover your cursor over the team of your choice and then click on the relevant season when it appears.
