Off to Llan’dod for the Reserves this evening

Presteigne Reserves are due to return to Mid Wales League (South) action on Friday, 20 January when they will head to Llandrindod Wells Reserves.

The game at the Broadway is due to kick off at 7.30pm.

Given there was a frost overnight and another one expected this evening, we have asked Llan’dod if there are any plans for an inspection and will update this site should the need arise.

But, at the moment, we are assuming it is ‘game on’ for Dale Tomkins’ squad as they look to bounce back after last weekend’s defeat at Brecon Northcote.

Given there is no first-team match this weekend, it would be easy to load the Reserves with Spar League players for this one, but manager Tom Ammonds tells me there are no plans to do so.

“I think Dale has a couple of players out and he’s asked for Tim Office and Owen Williams from my squad,” said Tom.

“Owen needs some game time as he hasn’t played that many minutes for me in the past three weeks.

“So, I am pretty sure he will be starting and Tim’s going to go with them as well.

“But, other than that, I think Dale’s going to stick pretty much to the squad he would normally have.”
