Presteigne St Andrews FC will continue what has been a busy week when they will host Hay St Mary’s at Llanandras Park on Friday, 6 October.

This will be the second home game in five days for Shaun Harris’ side after they beat Aberystwyth University 2-1 on Tuesday evening.

This is the second in a run of four successive home league games and so Shaun and the squad will be keen to make hay in the next month – as it were.

Our grateful thanks to Mike Lewis from Castle Road for his generous sponsorship of tonight’s game – it is very much appreciated.

Hay St Mary’s had a difficult summer in which they opted to take a voluntary relegation to the second division of the Spar Mid Wales League.

A number of their players decided their futures lay elsewhere and so the committee at the Forest Road club felt they would struggle to field a competitive side in the first division.

But they have started well in division two this season – they currently lie in fourth place in the table and are unbeaten at home in their opening three matches.

Tonight’s game is due to kick off at 7.30pm and the admission prices will be £3.00 for adults; £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
