Given the enormous interest in the Super Lotto at the moment, there has been a change to the sales outlets for the tickets.
Winnies Newsagents have requested that they no longer be a sales outlet as, to a certain extent, they have become victims of the lottery’s success.
Apparently, there were so many people going in to the shop to buy tickets that there were queues which were leading to people going elsewhere to buy their papers.
Clearly, this isn’t in the best interests of a paper shop and so Winnies’ owners have said – regretfully – they can no longer sell the tickets.
Presteigne St Andrews FC completely understands their decision and would like to place on record our gratitude to Winnies and all the other outlets that kindly sell the Super Lotto tickets.
We are very grateful as there is no doubt they play a large part in what has been a massive fundraising success story for the club and also one of the talking points around the town.
So, tickets for the Super Lotto cost £1.00 each and are available from Carini’s Butchers, Stitch Embroidery and Print Service, Presteigne Carpets and Bed Warehouse, The Garage, The Farmers Inn and The Royal Oak.
