Presteigne St Andrews FC is backing Presteigne and Norton Community Support programme by holding a fundraising Race Night part of the proceeds of which will be donated to the scheme.
While the date for the event is yet to be finalised, one thing is for certain – you can play your part by buying a ‘horse’ in support of the event.
Horses cost £5.00 and you will get to come up with a creative name for your ‘nag’ which will then be entered in a race on the evening.
The organisers reserve the right to change the name of any horse that threatens the boundaries of taste and decency!
Admission to the event will be free while you will also receive a race card.
The profits from the evening will be split between the Football Club and Presteigne and Norton Community Support.
Horses are available from Tom Ammonds (Football Club) or Sharon Jones (Presteigne and Norton Community Support).
Further details will be published here just as soon as they come to hand but, in the meantime, start coming up with a creative name for your horse and prepare to part with your fiver.
