Once again the words ‘match’ and ‘postponed’ loom large over a football weekend as Presteigne St Andrews FC’s scheduled MMP with Norman Lloyd League, second division game at Dyffryn Banw has been called off.
The heavy rain overnight and into this morning meant this was always likely to be a distinct possibility and so it was no great surprise when the phone call came through.
Our thanks to Dyffryn Banw for the early call on this one as it does at least allow people to rearrange their days and do other things.
So, both games off this weekend and the next footballing action at Llanandras Park is scheduled for Wednesday, 18 December when the Reserves will host Hay St Mary’s Reserves in a Mid Wales League (South) game.
Let’s hope it dries up a bit between now and then so we can at least get a game on.
Assuming that match does go ahead as planned, the kick off will be at 7.30pm.
