Presteigne St Andrews FC’s 100 Club draw for March was held on the evening of Tuesday, 31 March.
Traditionally the draw takes place on the final Friday of each month but the Coronavirus restrictions meant the usual procedures were not possible.
Normally, of course, ‘Drawmeister-in-Chief’ Les Pitt conducts proceedings from a different pub or club around the town.
But with these all being closed for the duration, the decision was taken by the committee that the draw should be carried out online.
Les asked Trevor Owens and Haydn Williams to take charge of this operation and, with Haydn in Presteigne and Trevor in Norton, it’s safe to say ‘social distancing’ rules were observed!

The next draw is due to take place on Friday, 24 April and, given the fact the restrictions are likely to remain in place at that stage, it’s likely that we shall be adopting the same system again.
Who knows, but the end of this we might even know what we’re doing….
