Given the weather of the past few days, it was no great surprise that the scheduled games for both Presteigne St Andrews FC and Presteigne Reserves on Saturday, 14 January were called off.
An inspection at Llanandras Park on Saturday morning revealed the pitch to be unplayable and so an early call was made so as to prevent opponents Llanilar making a long wasted journey.
The Reserves were due to head to St Harmon for their Mid Wales League (South) fixture.
Again, the home side made an inspection of the pitch on Saturday morning and confirmed it was waterlogged.
So, another weekend without any football, but let’s hope the picture improves in the coming weeks.
