Presteigne St Andrews FC will be back at Llanandras Park for their MMP Central Wales League South fixture on Saturday, 25 February.
Penybont United will be the visitors in a game in which both sides will be targeting a victory.
The division’s bottom two sides will go head-to-head and Corin Jones’ side will be looking for what would be their second victory of the season.
It is good to see Penybont in the MMP Central Wales South at all as earlier in the season there were serious concerns over the club’s future.
It was suggested at one stage that ‘the Bont’ had withdrawn from the league, but this proved to be wide of the mark and they regrouped and took their place in the division.
It has been a tough campaign for Penybont as they have been on the wrong end of some heavy defeats along the way – not least when going down 21-2 at Penparcau earlier this month.
Our thanks to Billy Jones Plastering for their kind sponsorship of this game which is due to kick off at 2.00pm.
As for the Reserves, they will head to Newcastle for their Mid Wales League (South) fixture.
Newcastle top the five-club division so this will be a tough game for Roy Simcock’s young squad, but here’s hoping they can rise to the occasion in this one.
If you are planning on making the trip to south Shropshire, then the kick off at Mill Field will also be at 2.00pm.
