Presteigne Reserves were scheduled to host St Harmon in a Mid Wales League (South) fixture at Llanandras Park on Wednesday, 8 March.
But, sadly, the weather has beaten us and the snow on Wednesday morning put paid to any chance of that game going ahead.
Club officials took a look at the pitch and determined that there was already serious doubt on the morning of the game, so there was little point in prolonging the decision.
The snow was still falling at that point and the thought was that St Harmon would have a fair trip to make (relatively) and, while the main roads would doubtless be gritted, the minor roads wouldn’t necessarily be treated.
Also, getting here to Llanandras Park would be one thing – getting home after the game if the temperatures had dropped might prove much more difficult.
So, another game to reschedule – but thanks to St Harmon and the Mid Wales League (South) officials for their cooperation.
