…until the return of football!

Presteigne St Andrews’ first-team manager Barry Williams has confirmed he has arranged a number of friendly matches and the hope is there will be more to add to this list as time goes on.

It will all start on Tuesday 13 July when Barry will take a side to Leominster Town for the opening game – the kick off in that one will be at 7.30pm.

On Saturday 31 July the first team will head to Llandrindod Wells for a match that is scheduled to kick off at 2.30pm.

They will then host Lads Club at Llanandras Park on Saturday 7 August (kick off 2.30pm), while it may well be that the Reserves will also take on a Lads Club side on the same day – that was the plan at one stage, but this is still to be confirmed.

“I am still trying to fix up a game against Kingstone and this might well be at some stage between the first two matches,” said Barry.

“We are also due to take part in the Ludlow Hospital Cup but we haven’t had any dates through for that yet.

“One way and another there will be more than enough to ensure we are kept busy between now and the beginning of the season,” he added.

A reminder to all committee members that there is a meeting scheduled for this evening at the Football Club – that meeting is due to get underway at 7.30pm.
