Congratulations to club chairman Alan Randell and Paula Bufton – the new Mrs Randell – who tied the knot at – fittingly – St Andrews church in Presteigne on Saturday 14 August.
A large contingent of committee members were lucky enough to be invited and so were part of the celebrations – a very noisy part -as the Bufton and Randell families looked after us very well indeed.
After a very nice service at the church – three hymns that us non regular-attenders could at least have a tilt at – it was just a shame that the happy couple emerged from church into a rainstorm, so it was a swift about-turn for photographs in the church.
There was a strong football contingent at both the wedding and the evening reception to ensure Alan and Paula had a really good send off.
From here, it was off to the Memorial Hall (by way of the Dukes Arms for some of us) for an excellent reception and then much buffoonery as the night was duly danced away.
Once again, congratulations to Alan and Paula, as well as little Jodi, who just about stole the show during the speeches…
