The draws have been made for both the Presteigne Otway Cup and the Alfred Sparey Memorial Cup.
It is as if Presteigne St Andrews and Hay St Marys are pre-ordained to meet in cup ties this season – after they were paired in the FAW Trophy, they also came out of the hat together in the semi-final draw for the Otway Cup and they will now meet at Llanandras Park in either March or April 2010.
In the Sparey Cup, CP Llanandras was the first of the nine names out of the hat, and they were handed a home first-round tie against Leominster Town Reserves. This game will be played between now and the end of November with the winners then hosting Shobdon in the quarter-finals.
Presteigne Reserves were also handed a home tie in the quarter-finals of the Sparey Cup – they will entertain Radnor Valley.
The quarter-finals of the Sparey Cup are due to be completed by the end of January 2010. Full details of both draws can be found on the Otway and Sparey Cups page of the site.
