Match reviews from the weekend matches are now up online – you can read what Barry Williams felt about his side’s first league win of the season in the Spar Mid Wales League first division.

Barry was understandably delighted and relieved to have secured the win – it was especially pleasing given that the side rallied to win following the first-half sending-off of Luke Brimfield.

Tom Ammonds took over between the sticks for that one and ‘Ammo’ has kindly done a brief audio interview in which he reflects on the game and his goakeeping debut.

This is on the first team page of the website – click on the ‘First Team’ tab at the top of the page and this will take you to the relevant page – all you need to do then is click on the image alongside the Dyffryn Banw story and you will be able to hear Tom’s thoughts on the side’s excellent showing.  Windows media is needed.

Andy Crowe was not a happy manager following his side’s Pip Samuel (Electrical) Mid Wales League (South) Cup exit at St Harmon as he felt the side had not really learned the lessons of the home defeat by Radnor Valley in their previous outing.

However ‘Crowie’ is very much of the view that when one goal goes in, then plenty of others will follow and he is hoping that will start this coming weekend when his side will again meet St Harmon – this time in a league game at Llanandras Park.

There will be previews of this weekend’s league games up on the site later in the week – in addition to the Reserves’ home match against St Harmon, the first team will head to Waterloo Rovers for their Spar Mid Wales League, first division game.
