All games off today

Presteigne St Andrews FC
No games today across Mid Wales

Presteigne St Andrews and Presteigne Reserves were in good company today as the entire Mid Wales football programme was wiped out by the weather.

This was no great surprise after news came through fairly early on that the scheduled matches at places like Aberystwyth, Tywyn Bryncrug and Aberaeron had been called off – generally the seaside games have a better chance of beating any frost so if these were off then there wasn’t going to be a great deal of hope for the inland games.

The Spar Mid Wales League Cup ties are to be rescheduled for early next year as the December league fixtures are already out.

Presteigne Reserves will be hoping more than most that the weather eases before next weekend as today’s postponement was the second successive week in which they have had a game called off.

Next week’s games will see the first team host Penparcau in a Spar Mid Wales League first division game at Llanandras Park while the Reserves will face a trip to Hay St Marys in the Mid Wales League (South).
