Report, rock and racing…

Presteigne St Andrews FC
Connor Bird scored twice for the Under 18s against Pegasus Juniors

There is a match report on the Under 18s’ last-gasp home win over Pegasus Juniors up on their page of the site – many thanks to manager Trevor Gummer for providing me with his thoughts on how things went.

All things and the technology being equal (not to mention finding the time) there might well be a brief video report on the game up online later in the week.

In the meantime, the Under 18s will return to action next Monday evening (31 January) when they will take on Westfields at Llanandras Park in a 7.30pm kick off.

Have you got your Freddie ticket yet?  The chairman tells me these are selling well and so if you are planning to rock the night away at the Football Club on Saturday 26 February then please see Alan Randell as soon as possible.

The tickets are priced at £10.00 for club members and £12.00 for non-members and they genuinely are selling fast – I am not making it up – so, given we have a safety limit on the clubhouse, please book (and pay) early to avoid disappointment.

On a similar note, it is not too late to buy your horse for the race night on Saturday 5 February – this will again be staged at the clubhouse and a horse will cost you £5.00 – these are available from Dougie Preece or any committee member.

Details of both the Freddie Mercury tribute night and the Races evening are available on the drop down menu on the ‘Social Events’ page at the top of the site – please support these events as they raise vital funds for the club.
