Under 18s game is called off

Presteigne St Andrews FC
Another enforced night off for the management team

Presteigne St Andrews Under 18s were due to be in action on Wednesday 23 February, but it was confirmed this evening their scheduled trip to Hinton has been called off.

This is reportedly due to the fact that Hinton’s Broomy Hill pitch is waterlogged – it is down by the river in Hereford so they might have had a few problems there.

It is the second time in 10 days that a Presteigne-Hinton game has been called off as the Hereford-based club was due at Llanandras Park on 14 February but was unable to find anyone to take charge of their squad for that one as the regular manager was unavailable.

As there are only eight clubs in the HFA Floodlit Youth League, the Under 18s are unlikely to suffer too much from fixture congestion but, in addition to the two  matches against Hinton, there are still games to arrange against Llandrindod Wells and Westfields, while there is one outstanding fixture to fit in against Leominster.

The next scheduled match for the Under 18s will be on Monday 7 March when Westfields will be the visitors to Llanandras Park.
