Game ON at Llanandras Park

Game on at Llanandras Park this afternoon

Presteigne St Andrews FC’s chairman Alan Randell has confirmed this afternoon’s Spar Mid Wales League first division match against Waterloo Rovers goes ahead as scheduled.

What is fast-becoming the traditional Friday-night monsoon had led to enough doubt for club officials to call a pitch inspection for 11.00am.

But that inspection revealed the pitch conditions had improved sufficiently so as to allow the game to go ahead so it will be ‘all systems go’ this afternoon.

If you are heading down to Llanandras Park for the match a reminder that admission will be £2.50 for adults, £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.

Again, if you are going down and you possess a digital camera, then please take a few snaps of the action and then email them to me for use in the match report – it would be much appreciated.

Finally, we have done well to get this game on – I have just got in to work to find the games involving: Evesham United, Stouport Swifts, Westfields, Leominster Town and Hereford Rugby Club have all been called off due to waterlogged pitches.
