Pitch inspection ahead of first-team game

It was a Friday night, so it rained heavily again...

Presteigne St Andrews FC’s chairman Alan Randell has announced there is to be a pitch inspection at Llanandras Park at 11.00am ahead of the scheduled Spar Mid Wales League first division match against Waterloo Rovers.

An early look at the ground this morning revealed it to be very wet in places and so the club has already been in contact with Waterloo Rovers officials to warn them of potential problems.

They are happy to go along with the 11.00am inspection and so Alan – and no doubt assorted other club officials – will make the final decision around then.

For the benefit of those who don’t live local to the area who might be reading this, it poured down overnight for long periods especially at around 6.00am, so it is no great surprise there is some doubt over the game.

As for the Reserves, we have as yet heard nothing from St Harmon so are assuming their Mid Wales League (South) game will go ahead as planned.

First news on the results of the inspection at Llanandras Park will be posted here as soon as the information comes to hand.
