Weekend Preview

free_kickThe weekend action begins on Friday 23 October when Llansantfraidd Village will look to build on their promising start to the season when they will host Llanfyllin Town.  Victory for the home side in this one would take Llansantfraidd up to fourth place – for 24 hours at least.

They will then have a further chance to put pressure on the leading clubs on Monday 26 October when they will host UWA.

The leaders Aberystwyth Reserves are without a game this weekend, so second-placed Tywyn Bryncrug will look to narrow the current six-point gap when they host third-placed Rhayader Town – no prizes for guessing which is the division’s game of the day, then!

Llanrhaeadr and Penparcau are also up among the leading clubs and they will be looking to make home advantage count against Bow Street and Newtown Reserves respectively.

Presteigne’s game at Caersws Reserves is a game between two of the three sides on 11 points – the other, Dolgellau, head to Waterloo Rovers.

At the foot of the table, UWA will look for their first league win of the season at home to Carno while Newbridge face a trip to in-form Dyffryn Banw.

In the Mid Wales League (South) a little bit of history will be made at Llanandras Park where Presteigne Reserves will meet CP Llanandras for the first time in a league match (kick off 4.00pm).

Again, there is Friday night action in the Mid Wales League (South) when Hay St Marys Reserves will host Radnor Valley.

At the top of the table, Llandrindod Wells will look to build on their four-point lead by beating visiting Talgarth Rovers, while Rhosgoch Rangers face a trip to Penybont United (kick off 3.45pm)

Talgarth Town will fancy their chances at home to bottom side St Harmon, while Builth Wells will entertain Newcastle.   Knighton Town will look to stay on the coat-tails of the leaders by winning away at Newbridge Reserves.

Sennybridge face one of their longest trips of the season – they are off to Rhayader Town Reserves, while it will be a 1.30pm kick off at Penybont Athletic who host Builth Wednesdays in the first part of a Racecourse double-header.
