Derby day at Llanandras Park

hay_st_marys_home_fawtrophy1_171009While the first team will head for Caersws Reserves for a Spar Mid Wales League match, Presteigne Reserves and CP Llanandras will clash in the first-ever Mid Wales League (South) game between the sides at Llanandras Park.

Tim Broome hopes to include new striker Marcus Sharrad in his squad for the trip to Caersws as he looks to get the league season back on track.

Marcus has League of Wales experience including a spell with Caersws and his registration is expected to clear in time for him to figure on Saturday.   Joel Leversedge is expected to get his first start after impressing when coming on as a substitute in the home game against UWA, but Tom Ammonds misses out due to a groin injury.

Barry Williams expects to select from largely the same squad that won 5-0 at Radnor Valley in the Reserves’ last outing, with Ryan Sparey continuing in goal as Trevor Gummer remains with the first team.

CP Llanandras goalkeeper Wally Weston will return to the starting line up for the derby match as Jordan Pritchard is unavailable due to work commitments.

There are detailed previews for each team on their respective pages on this site, while there is alsoo a detailed match report on the Under 18s win at Hinton on Wednesday night – thanks to the managers for providing the information.

A plea – if you are planning on going to either game as a spectator, then please take a digital camera with you and take a few piccies.  If you could then email them to the site that would be much appreciated as work commitments prevent me from getting to either game.
