Presteigne St Andrews returned to winning ways in the Spar Mid Wales League with a 2-0 success at Caersws Reserves.

The goals came from Sam Williams and Marcus Sharrad on his Presteigne debut, while manager Tim Broome will doubtless be very pleased with a second successive clean sheet, although this was helped by one superb second-half save from Trevor Gummer.

In the derby game at Llanandras Park, Presteigne Reserves beat CP Llanandras 4-0, although the game was, perhaps, closer than the scoreline might suggest.

Danny Ives’ goal gave the Reserves a first-half lead, but it remained 1-0 until the interval.  Llanandras’ cause was not helped when Mark Ammonds received a red card from referee Nigel Stocker for ‘…offering the referee the benefit of his experience..’ (although Mark claims he didn’t swear).

Danny netted a second, while there were also goals from Callum Matthews and Ioan Hughes, with two of them coming late in the game.

Full match reports will be up on the site at some stage on either Sunday 25 October or  Monday 26, while any photographs would, as always, be very welcome.  Please email them and there is a fair chance they will be used in the match reports.
