Reserve-team boss Stuart Skidmore has finalised his list of pre-season warm-up matches as he builds up towards the start of the new Mid Wales League (South) season.
The opening game will be on Saturday, 23 July (2.30pm kick off) when the Reserves will head to a Bucknell side that is due to return to ‘the South’ this season after a couple of seasons in Herefordshire League football.
Four days later, Stuart will take a side to Tenbury United where the kick off will be at 6.45pm.
The fixture for Saturday, 30 July (1.30pm kick off) is currently an ‘either or’ – it will either be against Malvern Rangers or, failing that, against the Under 18s.
The final warm up match will be at home against Clee Hill on Saturday, 6 August when the kick off will be at 1.30pm.
As soon as the Mid Wales League (South) fixtures are published, they will be posted on the site but, to be fair to League Secretary Paul Worts, he has to wait for the Spar League fixtures to be finalised, and some of these are dependent on the various early-season cup competitions.
