Reserve-team match report and new assistant boss

Presteigne St Andrews FC
Tom Hooper was again on target for the Reserves

Presteigne Reserves were beaten 4-2 at Bronllys in their Mid Wales League (South) match on Saturday, 22 October, but manager Stuart Skidmore felt there were still plenty of plus points to take from his side’s showing.

Stuart Millichamp scored on his return to the side after eight weeks out due to injury, while Tom Hooper continued his recent good scoring form when he netted from the penalty spot.

My thanks to manager Stuart Skidmore for his match report which has now been posted online – click on the ‘Reserves’ tab at the top of the page and you will be redirected to the match report.

The Reserves will take centre stage this weekend as – with no first-team game – all roads will lead to Llanandras Park for the Ressies’ home game against Llandrindod Wells Reserves.

Meanwhile, manager Stuart Skidmore has confirmed that the former Radnor Valley assistant boss Phil ‘Flab’ Jones has become his new ‘number two’.

It is a ‘welcome back’ to ‘Flab’ who has been with Presteigne before and here’s hoping the Reserves can turn around their recent run of form this weekend (Saturday, 29 October) in that game against Llan’dod’s second string.
