My thanks to Reserve-team boss Stuart Skidmore for sending me a few details on Saturday’s disappointing home defeat by Llandrindod Wells Reserves.
While the Reserves started each half strongly, they ultimately had to play second fiddle to the Spa club’s second string and Stuart felt it was a combination of slack defending and a lack of concentration that let his side down.
Not even the inclusion of Adriano Girolami in the Reserves’ side could prevent them from slipping to defeat, although ‘Adj’ did mark his return to the club with a goal.
Well done to Merv Stephens who netted twice for ‘Skiddy’s’ boys, but they will now they have to tighten up defensively ahead of the visit of one of the Mid Wales League (South) title favourites when Newcastle come to town this weekend.
