Under 18s in action on Thursday evening

Under 18s manager Roy Simcock is keen for the side to return to winning ways

Roy Simcock’s Under 18s return to action on Thursday, 3 November when they will take on Hinton in the HFA Floodlit Youth League at Llanandras Park.

The Under 18s have had something of a lay off – they were last in action on 10 October when they were beaten 3-1 at Lads Club.

Ieuan Crowe was on target for Roy’s side that night and it will be interesting to see how quickly the lads can gel in this one when they reconvene after almost a month apart.

But they have all been playing other football in the meantime, so fitness should certainly not be an issue.

Hinton have not had the finest of starts to their Floodlit League season as they have lost their opening four matches, but they did push Llandrindod Wells close in their last match before going down 2-1.

Unusually they have played all four games away from home so far – and they will clearly make that five from five when they head to Llanandras Park on  Thursday evening.

For all the fact they have lost their four matches, three of the four have been tight affairs with only a 5-0 defeat at Leominster Minors coming under the category of ‘one to forget’.

The kick off at Llanandras Park on  Thursday evening will be at 7.3opm and all support will be welcome.

The admission charges will be £2.00 for adults, and £1.00 for senior citizens and youngsters under the age of 16.

It is hoped to have the result up online at some stage later on Thursday evening with a more detailed report to follow as soon as I can track down Roy on Friday or Saturday.
