Presteigne St Andrews FC
Action from a recent Otway Cup final between Presteigne and Newbridge

The draws for the early rounds of the Otway and the Alfred Sparey Cups were made at the committee meeting of Presteigne St Andrews FC on Tuesday, 22 November.

Well, I say the early rounds of the Otway Cup – it was actually the semi-final draw although neither of these ties is scheduled to take place until March of next year.

Presteigne St Andrews FC will host Knighton Town in the second semi-final, with Newbridge or Llandrindod Well awaiting the winners in the final.

Nine clubs will contest the Alfred Sparey Cup this year with Builth Wells Reserves and Shobdon due to meet in the only first-round tie.

Presteigne Reserves will have home advantage for their quarter-final tie in which they will take on Newbridge Reserves.

Builth and Shobdon are scheduled to play their first-round tie by the end of January of next year, whild all the quarter-final ties are due to be played by 29 February 2012.

Competing clubs will be notified of their draws, but you are urged to diary the dates for the semi-finals and finals of these cup competitions have already been fixed.

You are asked to click on the ‘Otway/Sparey Cups’ tab at the top of the page for full details on the draws and also those dates you need for your diary for the latter stages of each competition.
