Reserves miss out on Radnor Cup final

The Reserves came unstuck in their Radnor Valley Cup semi-final

Presteigne Reserves missed out on a place in the Radnor Valley Cup final when they were well beaten by the host club in Sunday’s semi-final.

Radnor Valley came through 6-1 and so Stuart Skidmore’s side will have to look elsewhere if they are to put any silverware on the sideboard this season.

The Reserves were always likely to be up against it in this one as they were not allowed to field any player who had turned out for the first team this season.

This clearly limited ‘Skiddy’s’ options in terms of team selection although Radnor would also argue they were missing a number of players.

But there will be other opportunities this season, not least in the Alfred Sparey Cup and so Stuart will be looking for his side to bounce back from this one as quickly as possible.

It is hoped to have a more detailed match report up online in the next few days – just as soon as the information arrives in my inbox.
