Game ON at Llanandras Park

Presteigne St Andrews FC’s club chairman Alan Randell has confirmed the Spar Mid Wales League, second division derby game against Knighton Town will go ahead as scheduled.

Alan took a look at the Llanandras Park playing surface early this morning and confirmed it was playable, although there are some concerns about weather that could be heading our way.

“When I looked first thing this morning there was no problem at all – the pitch was fine and so there was absolutely no reason to call off the game,” he said.

“But most of us will have seen the weather forecast for later in the day and it is looking pretty grim from around midday onwards.

“However, I have spoken to both management teams and the referee and they have agreed that it is ‘game on’, and if we have any problems nearer to kick off time any decision will be down to the referee.

“Both sides are keen to play but ultimately the match official has the final call, but hopefully the worst of the rain will miss Llanandras Park,” he added.

The kick off will be at 2.30pm and admission prices will be £2.50 for adults, £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
