Presteigne Reserves will return to competitive action on Tuesday, 26 November when they will host Radnor Valley in their delayed Alfred Sparey Cup quarter-final tie.

Mark Weiland’s side will be hoping this game goes ahead as scheduled as they were without a match at the weekend and so will want to get back into things as quickly as possible.

This is especially so given they will return to J Emrys Morgan Cup action this coming weekend when they will face another long away trip – this time to Dewi Stars.

‘Weedo’s’ side had to wait to find out their destination in the Emrys Morgan as Dewi Stars’ home tie against Machynlleth Reserves was delayed until last Saturday when the Stars came through 4-3.

As for Radnor Valley, they have struggled for form in the Mid Wales League (South) this season and have only seven points from their opening 10 league matches.

But they are also into the third round of the J Emrys Morgan Cup after a 3-2 home win over Llanymynech in round two.

Given the recent cold weather, I have no doubt that the chairman will take a look at the pitch ahead of tonight’s match just to check all is well, but assuming the game does go ahead as planned, then the kick off will be at 7.30pm.

The admission prices will be as for a Reserves league game – so, £2.00 for adults and £1.00 for senior citizens and youngsters under the age of 16.
