Sunday afternoon action for the Reserves

A tough day on the road
Presteigne St Andrews FC
Two Cup finals in eight days for the Reserves

Presteigne Reserves will head to Radnor Valley FC on Sunday, 11 May when they will have the chance to put a trophy on the top table in time for the annual dinner and dance.

Standing in their way in this season’s Radnor Valley Cup final will be Bronllys who will be keen to set the record straight after they were beaten at Llanandras Park in the final league match of the Mid Wales League (South) season.

Bronllys reached the final of the Radnor Valley Cup by knocking out the home club in their semi-final tie while Mark Weiland’s side had an easier passage to Sunday’s game when their scheduled opponents – Penybont – withdrew from the competition.

The kick off in Sunday’s final will be at 3 o’clock and it’s hoped there will be a decent following making the trip to School Lane for this one.

Meanwhile, it’s been confirmed the Ressies will also be in cup final action the following week when they will go to Builth Wells to defend the Builth Spa Cup title they won last season.

It’s thought the kick off at Lant Field on Sunday, 18 May will be at 2.30pm but this is yet to be confirmed.

Best of luck to ‘Weedo’ and the boys in both games – here’s hoping they can round off the season in fine style.
