Beer Festival and music on Sunday

Presteigne St Andrews FC

Presteigne St Andrews FCThe Bank Holiday weekend is almost upon us and while, for some of us, this means a lot more time at work than normal (not that I am bitter) for most of those connected with Presteigne St Andrews FC it means the Beer Festival.

This year's event will be on Sunday, 24 August at Llanandras Park will start at 4.00pm and will no doubt go on well into the night as the music gathers pace.

Senior figures on the committee have been working hard to put together a fine range of entertainment, as well as a fine variety of beers.

Among the musical acts lined up to entertain you are: The Lone Wolves, Steady Edd and the Boogie Men, Fight the Bear and Dave Luke.

If you want to learn more about the acts, then – certainly for three of them – hover your cursor over the band's name and there will be a link to their website.  Sorry, Dave, I couldn't find one for you!

This has the look of a really good line up and it's hoped that the weather is kind to us and as many music (and beer fans) as possible will make their way to Llanandras Park for the evening's entertainment.

Similarly, with the beer, great care has been taken to ensure we have a wide variety of real ales on offer which have been sourced from local breweries.

For those who are not into their real ale, the club's bar will also be open for your delectation and delight.

The admission price is £10.00 across the board so here's hoping we see you down there with your best drinking and dancing trousers on.

The Beer Festival and music night has become something of a fixture on the calender locally, so let's hope this one proves to be right up there among the best of them.
