Disappointing defeat on the road for the Ressies

Presteigne Reserves slipped to their second heavy away defeat in four days when they were well beaten at Hay St Mary’s Reserves on Tuesday, 25 August.

After the 6-1 reversal at Brecon FC on Saturday, manager Mark Weiland would have been looking for a response at Hay but, while he got one in an attacking sense, there is clearly work to be done in terms of the defence.

Hay won this one 7-3 and so, after a bright start with the win over Carno Reserves, ‘Weedo’s’ side have a bit of work to do in terms of redressing the goal difference in the coming weeks.

Well done to Spencer Napolitano who netted twice for the Reserves in this one, while the third goal came courtesy of a Hay player who was unlucky enough to put the ball into his own net.

The Reserves have no match scheduled for Saturday, 29 August, but will return to action on Tuesday, 1 September when they will host Knighton Town Reserves at Llananadras Park when the kick off will be at 7.30pm.
