Both sides due in action this weekend

The first team host Penparcau

The weather has eased and so the plan is that both Presteigne St Andrews FC and Presteigne Reserves are both due to return to action on Saturday, 28 January.

The first team are due to host Penparcau in at MMP Mid Wales South fixture at Llanandras Park.

The visitors are currently fifth in the league table with three wins and two defeats from their five away fixtures this season.

They have games in hand over all of the sides above them and, while Hay St Marys and Radnor Valley have pulled away at the top of the division, were Penparcau to win their games in hand, they would certainly be in touch.

The kick off at Llanandras Park will be at 2.00pm.

As for the Reserves, they are due to head to St Harmon for their Mid Wales League (South) fixture.

While this is technically a game between the division’s bottom two sides, that would be a bit unfair on the Swifts who are nine points clear of the Reserves.

In fact, were St Harmon to win Saturday’s game – and were Hay St Marys Reserves and Felindre to draw their game – then, rather than being second bottom of the division, St Harmon would be top!

Here’s hoping for a good points return for both sides.
